Development with technology is the order of
the day and without it, one may lag far behind. Every country has embraced the
new mode of development and progress. Every sphere is technologically driven
for better and faster result. Another boom of technology is Internet and unlike
earlier access to internet is easier. Moreover with digitalisation, life is
becoming convenient and communication too has raised its bar.
Digital India is a vision of Honourable
Prime Minister for easy communication and connection. 2500 cities are likely to
provide wi-fi hot spots across the city and Indore is included in the list. According to the information available
with the Digital India website, the government plans to extend coverage of the information
infrastructure nationally by March 2017 at a cost of Rs 15,686 crores.
Digital India will be a powerful catalyst
to empower the society to be ahead and at the same time will give boost to every
sector. Till date Bengaluru has become the first city in
India to have free wi-fi hotspots and even Park Street in
Kolkata provide the facility of free connectivity. It is a break through and if
Indore too joins the league then it will be able to fulfil another criterion to
be in the league of #SmartCity.
